Change log
| Date | Change |
|---|---|
| 30 October 2026 | Version 0.5. Re-verified every federal tax, super and study-loan figure against the ATO (all unchanged) and corrected the LITO tax-free point to about $22,867 for the 15% rate. Rebuilt the Buying a home page with the confirmed post-1 July 2026 Tasmanian position ($20,000 grant; established-home duty exemption ended), the expanded 5% Deposit Scheme, Help to Buy (1 July 2026 caps) and a state-by-state table. Fixed text that displayed raw escape codes on 12 pages, two Print buttons blocked by the site security policy, an unescaped account name in the money snapshot, empty result boxes under tools, a missing quiz branch for people with no savings, and the 404 page on nested paths. Search now returns the section of a page, not just the page. Publisher name corrected to SupportCALL throughout. Server config hardened (CSP, HSTS staged, cache versioning). |
| 20 July 2026 | Initial publication. All pages written and every material figure verified against official sources for the 2026-27 financial year. |
Known limitations
- State grant tables. On 30 October 2026 the Victorian, Western Australian (value caps) and Northern Territory revenue pages could not be machine-read, so the state table on the Buying a home page links to them without quoting figures. They will be filled in at the next review.
- Site address. Canonical links and the sitemap carry a placeholder domain until the final domain is set.
- Medicare levy thresholds. The low-income Medicare levy thresholds are indexed annually; the estimator uses the ATO 2025-26 single figures ($28,011 to $35,013) because the ATO had not published 2026-27 thresholds at the last check.
- Estimates only. The calculators use standard assumptions (for example, resident, single, no dependants for the tax estimator) and cannot reflect every personal circumstance.
- General information. This site is not, and cannot be, personal financial advice. See the disclaimer.
How reviews work
Fast-changing content (tax rates, thresholds, grants, repayment figures) is reviewed at least around each federal Budget and the start of each financial year, and whenever we are told of a change. Each factual page shows the date it was last verified. Editing a page for style does not reset its verification date - only re-checking the facts does.
